Agata Hörttrich (*1997 Lugano, Switzerland) is an artist and filmmaker who works between Berlin, Lugano, and Lucerne. Her works focus on topics such as intimacy, bodies, pain, softness, the in-between, and fluidity. She often investigates the unseen or the invisible.

In her practice, she looks for memories and sensations, works with stories, values experimentation and curiosity and uses audiovisual elements with other objects or materials. She is fascinated by the possibilities of space creation that installation offers.

 

She studied Visual Communication at the University of the Arts in Berlin, where she developed her interest in moving images, photography, animation and interaction design. Right now, she’s studying Film at the HSLU in Lucerne.

Some of her works were exhibited in Designtransfer Berlin (2020), in Domäne Dahlem (2021), Kunstraum Potsdamer Straße (2022 and 2023), Silent Green (2024) and SOMA Berlin (2024).
